Delivery Manager

Last Updated: 11/20/21

Job Description

👋 Hi, I’m Angela - Manager of Delivery Management here at Dwolla. I’m looking for a Delivery Manager (you might also refer to this position as a ‘Scrum Master’ or ‘Technical/Agile Project Manager’) to join the Delivery Management team (a subset of our larger Product team).

Here is what you can expect to work on in this critical role on my team:

You will be embedded in an agile development team where you will facilitate the product development process while clearing roadblocks that may slow the team down. That means, ensuring the team’s alignment to the Agile Manifesto through iteration planning, backlog refinement, review and retrospective meetings, as well as staying in lock-step with the Product Manager and Engineer Lead on Product Discovery activities and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Delivery Managers must possess the unique ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience while also acting as an advocate for the product vision to our developers. In short, ensure the outcome, scope and product are understood by the entire product development team.

Our team values organization, concise communications and continuous improvement mindset. You will have a lot of support from leadership when you communicate proactively with detailed information about any roadblocks you may encounter.

The Delivery Management team is a maturing discipline at Dwolla. Our goal is to push ourselves (and the teams we work with) to level-up so we can work smarter, not harder while driving towards operating as a world-class technology team. 🏆

Qualities of Delivery Managers Who Thrive in This Role
🗣️ You excel at all forms of communication (interpersonal, written, verbal, facilitation and presentation… this role does it all!)
💪 You have STRONG organizational skills with an eye for detail (your friends might call you ‘Type A’)
🧩 You can recognize patterns/blockages (and create a plan to remove the block for future ease)
🤝 You enjoy working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative and inclusive environment What else is expected of a Delivery Manager at Dwolla?
